From Idea to Finished Artwork
Each class follows a clear creative process, whether you join us in person or online. Children begin by learning about the featured artist and exploring the ideas, techniques, and materials behind their work.
The teacher then guides them step by step through the project, from the first sketch and preparation of materials to developing and completing the final artwork.
In-person students can explore materials directly in the studio, while online students can follow the same creative process from home using a recommended materials list. Both formats provide children with guidance, encouragement, and opportunities to develop their own ideas.
The focus is not on simply copying an artwork. Instead, children learn from each artist and use their work as inspiration to experiment, make creative decisions, and create something of their own.
Learning Through Different Artists
Every week, children encounter a new artist from a different part of the world. They explore different styles, techniques, materials, and ways of thinking about art.
These artists become a starting point for experimentation and discovery, helping children understand that there are many different ways to create, communicate, and see the world.
